Apple (AAPL, Financial) is reportedly in talks to secure the U.S. broadcast rights for Formula One for $150 million annually. Currently, Disney's (DIS) ESPN pays about $90 million each year for these rights, with their current agreement expiring at the end of this season. ESPN's exclusive negotiation period has ended, and they consider Formula One's asking price to be excessive.
