Apple (AAPL, Financial) has reportedly made a bid of $150 million per year to secure the broadcasting rights for Formula One races in the United States. This offer comes as the current deal with Disney's ESPN, which pays approximately $90 million annually, is set to expire at the end of this season. Negotiations for a new deal have been ongoing, but ESPN's exclusive negotiating window has closed. Reports suggest that ESPN deemed Formula One's asking price too high.
