S&P Global (SPGI) has announced a strategic collaboration with Anthropic, aiming to integrate S&P Global's comprehensive financial data into Anthropic's AI platform, Claude. This integration is facilitated by a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server developed by Kensho, S&P Global's AI innovation hub. The collaboration is part of Anthropic's Financial Analysis Solution, enhancing research workflows for financial professionals.

Through this initiative, users can access S&P Global's extensive datasets, including Capital IQ Financials and earnings call transcripts, utilizing natural language queries. This innovation offers professionals like hedge fund managers, private equity analysts, and investment banking experts a streamlined method to incorporate essential financial data into their workflows.

The new MCP server developed by Kensho enables Claude to offer a seamless data experience by leveraging S&P Global's existing Capital IQ Pro platform and flexible data feed delivery options. This integration marks a significant step in advancing the accessibility of high-quality financial data across the GenAI ecosystem.
