Western Copper and Gold Corporation (WRN) has announced significant advancements related to its Environmental and Socio-economic Effects Statement (ESE Statement) for the Casino Project situated in Yukon Territory. The company has committed to submitting the ESE Statement to the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB) by the end of October 2025. This document encapsulates extensive technical evaluations, environmental, and socio-economic baseline studies, in addition to considerable consultations with First Nations and local communities.

The Casino Project, noted for being among Canada's largest critical minerals initiatives, is set to undergo a rigorous Panel Review, the first of its kind in the Yukon region. This move reflects Western Copper and Gold's commitment to meeting high environmental standards and fostering sustainable development practices.
