Alaska Communications is accelerating its network investment to deliver improved broadband services to 100,000 businesses and homes across Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, and the Kenai Peninsula. Utilizing fiber-fed, next-generation fixed wireless technology, the company is committed to providing high-speed internet access to meet the increasing demands of Alaskans.

The new broadband service will offer download speeds of up to 300Mbps and upload speeds of 100Mbps, coupled with unlimited data to ensure seamless connectivity for business operations, remote work, online learning, and more. By 2025, 50,000 locations in Anchorage alone are expected to be eligible for this high-speed service.

Paul Fenaroli, President and CEO of Alaska Communications, emphasized the importance of reliable and affordable internet service for Alaskans, stating, "With fixed wireless internet access backed by our state-of-the-art fiber network, we’re able to give Alaskans a reliable option for connecting their businesses and homes at affordable rates with local support."

The service is currently available in downtown, Government Hill, Mountain View, and Airport Heights neighborhoods, with expansion to the Anchorage hillside, south Anchorage, and midtown Anchorage planned for later this summer. Alaska Communications plans further network enhancements in Fairbanks, Juneau, and the Kenai Peninsula starting later this year.

Alaska Communications, an affiliate of ATN International, Inc. (ATNI, Financial), remains committed to supporting Alaskans by providing essential communication services.
