BAES Secures $172.4 Million U.S. Defense Contract for Multi-Domain Operations

BAE Systems (BAES, Financial) has secured a significant contract from the U.S. Department of Defense valued at $172.4 million. This "cost-plus-fixed-fee" task order, known as "Global System Analysis VIII," focuses on developing, enhancing, integrating, and transforming capabilities to meet critical multi-domain operational needs in air, space, and cyber domains.

The Maryland-based company will conduct the work in Rockville, with completion expected by September 2030. The contract was awarded through a competitive procurement process, with BAE Systems as the sole bidder. Funding for the fiscal year 2025 includes $389,438 from the research, development, test, and evaluation budget, $8,597,667 from the operations and maintenance budget, and an additional $325,000 in special funding.

The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome, New York, is the contracting authority, and the contract number is FA8750-25-F-B021. This contract highlights BAE Systems' focus on the aerospace sector, where it has a strong history in developing, manufacturing, upgrading, and maintaining combat aircraft and fast jet trainers.
