Vishay Intertechnology (VSH) has introduced the VLMRGB6122, a new tricolor LED in a compact PLCC-6 surface-mount package, known for its independent control of red, green, and blue LED chips. The device, designed for automotive applications, offers a luminous intensity of up to 2800 mcd at 20 mA, making it 70% brighter than previous generation solutions. Additionally, its profile is reduced by 22% compared to competitor offerings.
The LED is engineered with enhanced specifications, including a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +110°C, which is 25°C higher than standard solutions. It boasts a Class B1 corrosion robustness and AEC-Q102 qualification, underlining its durability and reliability in demanding environments.
Ideal for automotive interior lighting, RGB displays, device backlighting, and accent lighting, the VLMRGB6122 is apt for a variety of applications. The device utilizes the latest AllnGaP and InGaN technologies to deliver high reliability, with samples and production quantities now available and a lead time of 17 weeks.
