DexCom, Inc. (DXCM), a leader in glucose biosensing, has announced the launch of the fourth season of its pioneering NIL program, Dexcom U. The program is exclusively designed for college athletes with diabetes, aiming to empower them to overcome barriers and inspire their communities. This year’s roster includes 21 athletes, with 13 new members and eight returning participants, representing a diverse range of sports from universities across the United States.

The 2025 roster features new athletes like Miles Byrd from San Diego State University and Shelomi Sanders from Alabama A&M University. Notably, these athletes utilize Dexcom's Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) technology, like the Dexcom G7, to manage their diabetes effectively.

The highlight of the program this year was the Dexcom U Signing Day Camp held in Baltimore, Maryland, hosted by Mark Andrews, a tight end for the Baltimore Ravens and a Dexcom Warrior. The event brought together college and youth athletes with diabetes, providing them with an opportunity to connect and share their experiences. Joining Andrews was NFL legend Mike Golic Sr., who uses Dexcom’s over-the-counter glucose biosensor, Stelo, to manage his Type 2 diabetes.

Since its inception in 2022, Dexcom U has directly impacted over 40 college athletes across 38 schools and 19 sports. The program leverages Dexcom’s advanced CGM technology, enabling athletes to receive real-time glucose data on their smartphones or smartwatches, thus allowing them to focus on their sports performance and personal goals.

This season, Dexcom has expanded the program with a nationwide Open Call, further integrating athletes into their Warrior community. Leverne Marsh, Dexcom's executive vice president of marketing, emphasized the company's commitment to enhancing the program, creating impactful opportunities for athletes with diabetes to thrive.
