Franklin Resources, Inc. (BEN, Financial), operating as Franklin Templeton, has announced the integration of managed options strategies into its Canvas custom indexing platform. This move aims to offer financial advisors a comprehensive solution for implementing options programs to manage risk, generate income, and diversify away from concentrated stock risks.

The strategies are managed by the Franklin Managed Options Strategies Team (MOST), which boasts over 30 years of experience in the options investing sector. This innovation reflects Franklin Templeton's ongoing dedication to providing advanced, personalized investment solutions for financial advisors.

Roger Paradiso, Head of Franklin Templeton Custom Client Solutions, emphasized the platform's role in enhancing advisors' ability to construct custom, tax-managed SMAs, highlighting Franklin Templeton’s leadership in the growing SMA industry.

Canvas, known for its direct indexing, is a multi-asset investment platform allowing advisors to automate tax management and simplify portfolio transitions. Over the past year, its offerings have expanded to include active equity strategies and a variety of fixed income strategies.

With approximately $155 billion in SMA assets under management as of June 30, 2025, Franklin Templeton continues to thrive. The Canvas platform alone accounts for $13.8 billion of this total, underscoring its significant contribution to the company’s growth.
