Align Technology, Inc. (ALGN), renowned for its Invisalign® System, has announced the commercial availability of its latest innovation in Singapore. The new system, designed with mandibular advancement featuring occlusal blocks, addresses Class II skeletal and dental correction by advancing the mandible while simultaneously aligning teeth. This marks the first clear aligner product from Align with integrated solid occlusal blocks, aimed at delivering more predictable mandibular advancement.

The innovative design enhances treatment efficiency for Class II malocclusion, a common orthodontic issue affecting 30-45% of malocclusion cases globally. The solution focuses on growing patients, particularly those in the late mixed or early permanent dentition stages, leveraging natural growth during pre-adolescence and adolescence to effectively correct jaw discrepancies.

The Invisalign system with mandibular advancement presents significant advancements over multiple appliances traditionally required for such treatments. By ensuring durability and predictability thanks to patented SmartTrack™ material, it minimizes discomfort and boosts patient compliance, critical for successful outcomes.

Sreelakshmi Kolli, Align Technology's executive vice president, notes this development reflects the company's commitment to expanding the capabilities of the Invisalign System, positioning clear aligners as a standard in digital orthodontics. Dr. Mitra Derakhshan, the company's chief clinical officer, emphasized the versatility and improved patient outcomes provided by this innovation.

The Invisalign system with mandibular advancement is now accessible to trained doctors in Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, and India, with plans for additional APAC market entries later this year. This offering complements Align Technology’s growing portfolio, including the Invisalign® Palatal Expander System and Invisalign First™.
