- Strathmore Plus Uranium (OTCQB: SUUFF) launches its 2025 drilling program at the Agate Project in Wyoming.
- The project is advancing after a significant shallow uranium mineralization discovery in 2024.
- Permits are secured for 150 drill sites, with plans for a mineral resource estimate by winter 2025/2026.
Strathmore Plus Uranium Corp. (OTCQB: SUUFF) has announced its 2025 Exploration Plan for the Agate Project in the Shirley Basin Uranium District, Wyoming, which will start in early August. This initiative follows a significant discovery in 2024 of new shallow uranium mineralization one mile south of the northern trend. Noteworthy intercepts included 14 feet of 0.046% eU3O8 and 15.5 feet of 0.051% eU3O8.
The company holds permits for up to 150 drill sites, including five core holes intended for groundwater studies. Strathmore has completed 200 exploration holes with an impressive 90% mineralization hit rate. The current exploration is aimed at expanding this mineralization and exploring new roll fronts. A mineral resource estimate and technical report are planned for completion during winter 2025/2026.
The strategic location of the Agate Property, bordering Cameco and UEC projects and near UR-Energy's construction site, enhances its prospects. Historical data reveals that the Shirley Basin has produced 53 million pounds of uranium from various mining operations, positioning the Agate Project as a potentially significant uranium resource.
