Amprius Technologies, Inc. (AMPX), a leader in next-generation lithium-ion batteries, has announced the successful delivery of its SiCore® battery cells to several advanced drone customers, including AALTO, an Airbus subsidiary. These deliveries originate from the company's pilot line in Fremont, California.

The SiCore cells include high-energy 450 Wh/kg cells engineered for extended flight durations, crucial for high-altitude and tactical drone missions. The lightweight and high-energy density of these cells are particularly suited for applications that require long-endurance operations.

Amprius' Fremont facility plays a pivotal role in the company's R&D, prototyping, and pilot-scale production, allowing for a swift transition from development to commercial deployment. The company is expanding its production capabilities in Fremont to accommodate increasing demand from leading drone manufacturers.

In response to growing commercial interest, Amprius has secured over 1.8 GWh of manufacturing capacity through international partnerships, including agreements in South Korea. This strategic expansion supports broader adoption across the aerospace, defense, and electric mobility markets. The company continues to push technological boundaries, aiming for even greater energy performance and mission-readiness in its products.
