Apple (AAPL) Set to Avoid EU Fines with App Store Fee Revisions

Article's Main Image

Apple (AAPL, Financial) is reportedly on the verge of gaining approval from EU antitrust regulators after revising its App Store rules and fees. This strategic alteration is expected to help the tech giant avoid substantial daily fines imposed by the European Union. Last month, Apple announced that developers would need to pay a 20% commission for products purchased through the App Store. However, this fee could be reduced to as low as 13% for participants in Apple's small business program.
