Ares Management Corporation (ARES), a prominent global alternative investment manager, has announced significant enhancements to its Infrastructure Debt team. The firm has appointed Jon Plavnick as a Partner, who will be focusing on sourcing, structuring, and managing infrastructure debt investments throughout the Americas. Plavnick brings nearly two decades of experience, having previously played a pivotal role at Global Infrastructure Partners in advancing their global private credit platform.

In addition to this strategic hire, Spencer Ivey, previously head of Americas and Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Debt at Ares, has relocated to Sydney. Ivey’s move is part of Ares’ effort to accelerate its Infrastructure Debt strategy in the Asia-Pacific region, a market ripe with opportunities due to rapid urbanization and industry megatrends such as digitization and energy transition.
