Upwork Inc. (UPWK, Financial) has unveiled its Summer 2025 platform update, introducing over 75 innovative features to enhance hiring and work management. The key highlight is the advancement of Uma, Upwork's AI work agent, which now facilitates the majority of new client job posts and has achieved an 8% increase in successful matches for high-value projects.
The update introduces several new features including instant AI-powered interviews, integrated video meetings complete with AI-generated summaries, context-aware search suggestions, and an enhanced job posting experience. These tools are designed to reduce manual screening time, streamline collaboration, and enhance the overall hiring process.
Upwork has also upgraded its premium plans. The Business Plus plan now offers direct contracts management, allowing businesses to seamlessly handle talent sourced from outside the Upwork platform alongside those found on it. Freelancer Plus provides real-time proposal insights and customizable job alerts, enabling freelancers to better tailor their strategies and swiftly find new opportunities.
