This move aims to enhance scrutiny of their duopoly. Investigations have revealed that many markets associated with mobile web browsers are not performing well for either consumers or businesses. Apple's Safari and Google's Chrome have dominant positions in the mobile browser markets on iPhone and Android devices, respectively.
