In recent years the average age of retirement has been creeping higher.
For those of us still well away from retirement that retirement age may be significantly higher still.
Think about it. People retiring today had the luxury of being able to invest their cash at reasonable guaranteed interest rates. In the 1980s they were investing at 8 to 10 percent. In the 1990s rates were still available above percent.
