John Paulson Adds New Position to its Portfolio

John Paulson (Trades, Portfolio) of Paulson & Co. recently added a new position to his portfolio of 63 stocks, valued around $19.4 billion. The portfolio has an 11% quarter-over-quarter turnover.

According to GuruFocus Real Time Picks, Paulson purchased 10,000,000 shares of Synthesis Energy Sys Inc (SYMX, Financial) at an average price of $1.13 per share. The stock is currently trading at $1.52 a share.

Synthesis Energy provides gasification technology systems and solutions to both the energy and chemical industries. The company's main objective is to create value by supplying its services and technology for global projects.

Revenue per share for the trailing twelve months as of December 2014 was $0.28. One warning sign investors should be concerned about is revenue has been declining over the past five years.
