Guru stocks at 52-Week Highs: Fidelity National Financial, Mylan Laboratories, Rohm and Haas Company, AutoZone, O'Reilly Automotive, Family Dollar Stores

About weeks ago we were so depressed and disgusted by the daily losses in equity value, started, we decided to start a new column that tracks the companies that reached 52-week high recently. It has been so far an illuminating exercise. In the past two weeks, we discovered that the following categories of companies are making 52-week highs:

Auto Part Retailers: O'Reilly Automotive Inc ORLY and AutoZone Inc.AZO

Family Dollar Stores Inc. FDO. Well, the names says it all

Sturm Ruger & Company Inc. (RGR)

Career Education Corp. ( CECO)

The list says a lot about our society: Americans are driving older cars, shopping in cheaper stores, buying guns (for protection, I assume, not for something else), and more encouragingly, going back to school. Stock market is smart sometimes, it figures things out a lot faster than most of us.

Perhaps I should devise an American Frugality Index and an ETF tracking these companies.

Well, here we go again: according to GuruFocus updates, these Guru stocks have reached their 52-Week Highs recently, in the order of interesting level.
