The VIX Volatility Index closed at 26.24 for a loss of -2.82 points or -9.70%.
Monday’s market movers
The Trump administration released a $4.4 trillion budget for fiscal 2019, which included a long awaited immigration plan that included details on international border security. Simultaneously, the Treasury also released budget details on Monday. The Treasury budget was the only leading economic indicator on the calendar Monday. The Treasury reported a surplus of $49.2 billion.
