The VIX Volatility Index was lower at 16.44 for a loss of -1.40 points or -7.85%.

- Durable goods orders increased 2.6% for the month.
- International trade in goods reported a -$68.0 billion deficit.
- Jobless claims decreased by 24,000 for the week to 209,000.
- Retail inventories decreased -0.4% for the month.
- Wholesale inventories increased 0.5% for the month.
- The Fed balance sheet level was reported at $4.386 trillion.
- Mortgage rates increased for the week. The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage average increased to 4.58% and the 15-year fixed-rate mortgage average increased to 4.02%.
