Leon Cooperman (Trades, Portfolio) of Omega Advisors discussed a series of topics on CNBC Tuesday afternoon.
The investor's mention of the second largest manufacturer of vanadium in the world, Largo Resources (TSE:LGO, Financial), caused it to shoot up 50%, CNBC said.
Cooperman added that he likes Alphabet (GOOGL, Financial) due to its balance sheet, reasonable multiple and dominant industry position and said why he wants to convert his hedge fund to a family office.
"I don't want to sit in front of a machine all day long worrying about my invested capital," he said.
