"Shares in British bank Lloyds TSB climbed in London on Thursday amid market speculation that legendary investor Warren Buffett is building a stake in the high-yielding bank."

"There are a number of stories that have been going around. There's takeover rumors regarding American banks and the other one that I've heard is that Warren Buffett is building a stake," said Norrie Morrison, a banking analyst at WestLB.
