Business Description

Description
Deere & Company is the world's largest manufacturer of agricultural equipment, selling tractors, combines, sprayers, and planting equipment under the iconic John Deere brand through a dealer network spanning the globe. Its Production and Precision Agriculture segment serves large-scale grain and cotton farmers with increasingly autonomous, software-enabled machines, monetized partly through precision technology subscriptions such as See & Spray; Small Agriculture and Turf covers dairy, livestock, and residential customers. The Construction and Forestry segment supplies earthmoving, roadbuilding (Wirtgen), and forestry machinery. John Deere Financial provides equipment financing that supports sales through cycles. Founded in 1837 by blacksmith John Deere and headquartered in Moline, Illinois, the company is a leader in agricultural technology, connecting hundreds of thousands of machines through its John Deere Operations Center.
