Morning, everyone. It's a privilege to present here at the Piper Conference. My name is Robert Ang, and I am Chief Executive Officer of Vor Bio. Vor Bio is a cell therapy company working on a really different approach to treating liquid tumors. And I would point you to our disclaimer slide that you can read at your reference on our website. So if we understand what we're trying to do at Vor, let's firstly understand what normally happens in a treatment of liquid tumors.
Now when a frontline disease is present, typically chemotherapy can be actually quite efficacious. And the problem is that it's very difficult to get the patient to stay in a complete remission state because simply the cancers tend to override it. However, the objective in a lot of cases is actually to get to a position where you could transplant a patient. Now transplant was revolutionary 50 years ago. This is where you could actually take cells from a healthy donor and implant them permanently into a patient replacing the diseased marrow.
