AGCO Business Description

Address 4205 River Green Parkway, Duluth, GA, USA, 30096
AGCO Corp is a global manufacturer and distributor of agricultural machinery and precision agriculture technology. Its core brands include Fendt, Massey Ferguson, and Valtra, covering tractors, combines, hay and forage equipment, seeding and tillage implements, and sprayers, along with replacement parts. Precision agriculture offerings, including guidance, telematics, and retrofit automation, are organized under its PTx portfolio following acquisitions such as Precision Planting and Trimble's agriculture business. AGCO sells primarily through independent dealers and distributors, serving farmers and commercial agricultural operations in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. Europe and the Middle East account for a large share of net sales and an even greater share of operating profit, while the company has sought to expand in the larger North and South American markets. Revenue comes mainly from equipment sales, with additional contributions from parts, service, and financing arrangements offered to customers.
