HomeCo Daily Needs REIT Business Description

Industry Real EstateREITs
Address Gateway, Level 7, 1 Macquarie Place, Sydney, NSW, AUS, 2000
HomeCo Daily Needs REIT (HDN) is an Australian listed real estate investment trust managed by HMC Capital, an ASX-listed alternative asset manager that earns property, investment, and development management fees and retains a minority interest in the trust. The REIT invests in convenience-based retail assets anchored by everyday goods and services, including supermarkets, liquor stores, pharmacies, childcare, medical and government services, alongside a significant weighting to large-format retail tenanted by furniture, electrical, and homemaker retailers. Its properties are typically neighbourhood shopping centres and bulky goods centres located in metropolitan and growth corridors across Australia, with a tenant base of national supermarket operators, discount department stores, and specialty retailers. Revenue comes from rental income under long leases, most of which carry fixed annual increases, with a smaller proportion inflation-linked or turnover-based, supplemented by development and value-add activity across the portfolio.
