Magontec Ltd is an Australian-listed manufacturer of magnesium alloys and related products. The company produces generic and specialist magnesium alloys, primarily for die-casting and aluminium alloying applications, and operates magnesium recycling facilities that reprocess scrap into specification alloys. It also manufactures cathodic corrosion protection products, including magnesium and titanium anodes, used to protect pipelines, tanks, and marine and offshore infrastructure from corrosion. Magontec develops proprietary alloy technologies and sells to industrial customers in the automotive, aluminium, and corrosion-protection markets. Its operations are organised around European and Chinese businesses, with manufacturing in Germany and China, and it generates most revenue from its European segment. Revenue comes from alloy sales, recycling services, and corrosion-protection product sales.
