Yancoal Australia Ltd is an Australian coal producer that operates open-cut and underground mines in New South Wales and Queensland. Its portfolio includes the Hunter Valley Operations, Mount Thorley Warkworth, Moolarben, Ashton, Stratford Duralie, Yarrabee and Middlemount mines, producing a mix of thermal and metallurgical coal. The company sells its coal primarily to export markets across Asia, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore, as well as to domestic customers. Revenue is generated through the sale of coal under a combination of long-term contracts and spot market arrangements, with pricing influenced by global seaborne thermal and metallurgical coal benchmarks.
