Viscofan SA is a Spanish manufacturer and distributor of artificial casings and films for the food industry, primarily serving meat processors. Its product range includes cellulose, collagen, fibrous and plastic casings, as well as functional solutions, vegetarian casings marketed under the Viscofan Veggie brand, and edible films. The company also produces casings, films and bags derived from treated plastic polymers for food and non-food applications. Viscofan sells to sausage and meat producers, and increasingly to customers in the health and biotechnology sectors through its newer business lines. It operates production and sales facilities across EMEA, the Asia-Pacific region, North America and South America, with EMEA historically its largest market by revenue.
