China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, known as Sinopec, is a Chinese integrated oil and gas company and one of the country's largest state-controlled energy firms. Its operations span upstream exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas, refining, and the marketing and distribution of refined petroleum products, alongside a major petrochemicals business producing ethylene, synthetic resins, fibers, and fertilizers.
