African Phoenix Investments Ltd is an investment holding company. Its income is generated through interest, investment income and dividends received from its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Standard General Insurance Company Limited (Stangen) in South Africa. It has two operating segments namely the Insurance segment which includes funeral, other products, and the Corporate segment. It also has a retail insurance portfolio and mainly funeral policies. The majority of its revenue is generated from Funeral insurance.
