Its operations are organized into two main businesses: Southern Africa Energy and International Chemicals. In South Africa, Sasol mines coal, produces synthetic fuels and pipeline gas, and markets liquid fuels through retail and commercial channels, including sales to other oil companies. Its chemicals business produces commodity and specialty chemicals such as polymers, solvents, alcohols, and surfactants, serving customers in automotive, packaging, agriculture, and industrial markets.
