Martin Marietta Materials Inc. is a US-based supplier of construction aggregates, including crushed stone, sand, and gravel, used in infrastructure, residential, and commercial construction. The company operates through its Building Materials business, which also produces cement, ready-mixed concrete, and asphalt, and its Magnesia Specialties segment, which manufactures magnesia-based chemicals and dolomitic lime for industrial, environmental, and agricultural applications. Its primary markets are Texas, North Carolina, Colorado, Georgia, and California, though it serves customers across much of the United States and the Bahamas. Customers include concrete and asphalt producers, general contractors, paving companies, and government agencies. Revenue is generated mainly through the sale of aggregates and downstream building materials, with additional income from specialty chemicals. The company also engages in joint ventures and acquisitions to expand its reserves and geographic footprint.
