Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG is a German specialist bank focused on commercial real estate finance and public investment finance. Its core Real Estate Finance segment lends to professional real estate investors, developers, institutional investors, real estate funds, and, especially in Germany, medium-sized and regional clients, typically through special purpose vehicles. It also provides public sector and infrastructure financing. The bank funds itself largely through covered bonds (Pfandbriefe) and deposits, and operates mainly in Germany and other European markets, including selected Western European countries and the United States, with a presence in a number of international financial centers. Revenue comes predominantly from net interest income on its lending portfolios, supplemented by fee and commission income. It is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and is a member of the SDAX index.
