Elia maintains and operates high-voltage equipment and infrastructure projects, such as power lines, cables, and transformers. The company mainly generates revenue by serving as the electricity transmission system operator in both Germany and Belgium, where it provides electric grid usage. These countries also house many of the firm's energy infrastructure investments. Elia's operating segments are: 50Hertz Transmission Germany, which derives maximum revenue, Elia Transmission Belgium, and Non-regulated activities and Nemo Link.
