Detrex Corp manufactures specialty chemicals including petroleum additives and high purity hydrochloric acid through its wholly owned subsidiary, The Elco Corporation (Elco). It sells primarily to petrochemicals and industrial manufacturing companies. Elco's lubricant additives are used for enhancing the properties of hydraulic oils, metalworking fluids, gear oils, greases, and fuels.
