OMV AG is an Austrian integrated energy, fuels, and chemicals company. Its operations span exploration and production of oil and natural gas, refining and marketing of fuels, and the production of base chemicals, polyolefins, and fertilizers. The company operates refineries in Austria, Germany, and Romania and markets fuels through retail networks across Central and Eastern Europe under brands including OMV and Petrom. Its chemicals business is conducted largely through majority-owned Borealis, a producer of polyolefins and base chemicals, and through its stake in Borouge. OMV also pursues lower-carbon activities including gas sales, hydrogen, and sustainable fuels. It sells to retail, commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers. Revenue comes from fuel and chemical sales, refining margins, and oil and gas production, with operations concentrated in Europe and the Middle East, plus upstream assets in Africa, Asia, and the North Sea.
