Canyon Resources Ltd is an Australian mineral exploration and development company focused on bauxite. Its principal asset is the Minim Martap Bauxite Project in central Cameroon, which the company is advancing toward development as a high-grade, low-contaminant bauxite operation. The project is held through the company's Cameroonian subsidiary and is intended to supply seaborne bauxite to alumina refineries, primarily in the Atlantic and Asian markets. Canyon Resources has also held gold and base metal exploration interests in Burkina Faso, including the Tao, Pinarello, Taparko North, Derosa, Konkolikan and Birsok projects, though its corporate focus has shifted toward bauxite. The company generates no material operating revenue and funds activities through equity raisings and project-level investment, with value ultimately dependent on developing and bringing Minim Martap into production.
