Metsa Board Oyj is a Finnish producer of premium fresh-fiber paperboards and a subsidiary of Metsa Group. It manufactures folding boxboard, white kraftliner and linerboard, and market pulp, used mainly in consumer packaging for food, foodservice, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and branded goods. Its customers include carton converters, packaging printers, brand owners, and wholesalers. The company operates integrated pulp and paperboard mills in Finland and Sweden, producing its boards from Nordic softwood and birch pulp, and sells its products across Europe, with additional sales in North America, Asia, and other export markets. Europe accounts for the majority of revenue. Metsa Board also supplies its own pulp and energy operations, and it has divested or restructured non-core paper businesses in recent years to focus on paperboard and pulp.
