Packaging Corporation of America is a US-based producer of containerboard and corrugated packaging products. The company operates in two reportable segments: Packaging, which manufactures linerboard, corrugating medium, and corrugated containers, and Paper, which produces uncoated freesheet paper for office, printing, and converting applications. Its corrugated packaging serves customers in industries including food and beverage, e-commerce, retail, agriculture, and manufacturing, ranging from large national accounts to smaller regional businesses. PCA operates mills and corrugated converting plants across the United States, with additional converting operations in Mexico. The company generates most of its revenue from the sale of corrugated packaging products, supplemented by containerboard and white paper sales. It also owns timberlands that supply some of its fiber needs. PCA is vertically integrated, producing much of the containerboard it converts into boxes.
