WH Group Ltd is a Hong Kong-listed holding company and the world's largest pork producer and processor. It operates through three main segments: pork, packaged meats, and fresh pork. In China, operations run through majority-owned Henan Shuanghui Investment & Development, selling under the Shuanghui brand. In the United States, the company owns Smithfield Foods, whose packaged meat brands include Smithfield, Eckrich, Nathan's Famous, Armour, John Morrell, and Farmland. WH Group also has operations in Europe following the acquisition of Romania's Elit and other processors. The company is vertically integrated, controlling hog production, slaughtering, meat processing, and distribution. Revenue comes primarily from sales of fresh and packaged pork products to retail, foodservice, and wholesale customers in China, the US, and Europe, with China and the US contributing the bulk of sales and operating profit.
