Orlen SA is a Polish energy and petrochemical group formed through the merger of PKN Orlen with Grupa Lotos and PGNiG. It refines crude oil into gasoline, diesel, heating oil, and aviation fuel, and produces petrochemicals such as olefins, polyolefins, aromatics, and PVC used as feedstock by chemical manufacturers. The group operates refineries in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania, plus retail networks of service stations in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and the Baltics under brands including Orlen and Benzina. It also explores for and produces oil and natural gas in Poland, Norway, Canada, and Pakistan, and trades and distributes natural gas through its PGNiG business. Revenue comes from fuel and petrochemical sales, retail fuel and convenience-store operations, and gas trading and distribution.
