The Company is engaged in the business of directing, planning, and coordinating the business activities of the Bank. Ocean City Home Bank is a federally chartered savings bank. It operates as a community-oriented financial institution offering a range of financial services to consumers and businesses in its market area. It attracts deposits from the general public, small businesses and municipalities and uses those funds to originate a variety of consumer and commercial loans, which the Company holds for investment. Its lending activities include One- to Four-Family Residential Loans; Commercial and Multi-Family; Construction Loans; Commercial Loans; and Consumer Loans. It has legal authority to invest in various types of liquid assets, including U.S. Treasury obligations, securities of various federal agencies and of state and municipal governments, mortgage-backed securities and certificates of deposit of federally insured institutions.
