Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA, known as Usiminas, is a Brazilian flat steel producer headquartered in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. It manufactures and sells heavy plates, hot-rolled coils, cold-rolled coils, and galvanized and coated steel products, largely through its steel division, which generates most of its revenue. Its customers come from the automotive, civil construction, railway, electrical, white goods, offshore, and agricultural and construction machinery industries. Usiminas also operates a mining and logistics segment that supplies iron ore and provides port and logistics services. The company serves both the Brazilian domestic market and export markets, with major industrial operations in Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo state. It is one of Brazil's largest flat steel producers, and its revenue depends mainly on steel sales volumes and international steel prices.
