Horizon Oil Ltd is an Australian petroleum company engaged in oil and gas production, development and exploration. Its principal producing asset is the Block 22/12 oil field in the Beibu Gulf, offshore China, where it holds a participating interest and produces crude oil. The company also holds interests in producing and development assets in New Zealand, including the Maari and Manaia fields, and in Papua New Guinea through its stake in Cue Energy Resources, alongside exploration interests in Southeast Asia and Australasia. Horizon Oil's revenue is derived mainly from the sale of crude oil and, to a lesser extent, natural gas and condensate from its producing fields, with customers comprising regional refiners and energy traders. The company operates as a small, non-operating partner in most of its joint ventures, with production concentrated in the Asia-Pacific region.
