Intel designs and manufactures microprocessors and related technologies that power personal computers, data centers, and edge devices. Its principal product segments are Client Computing Group, supplying Core processors for desktop and notebook PCs; Data Center and AI, selling Xeon server processors and accelerators; and Network and Edge. Through Intel Foundry, the company is building a contract manufacturing business that fabricates chips for external customers alongside its own products, supported by major fab investments in the U.S. and Europe. Intel also holds a majority stake in Mobileye, the publicly listed autonomous-driving technology company, and in 2025 sold a majority interest in its Altera FPGA business. As one of the few remaining integrated device manufacturers, Intel both designs and produces its silicon, competing with AMD, NVIDIA, and leading foundries such as TSMC.
