Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd is an Indian integrated sugar manufacturer and one of the country's largest private sugar producers. Its core business is the manufacture and sale of sugar from sugarcane, supplemented by downstream and by-product operations. The company operates sugar mills, distilleries producing ethanol, ethyl neutral alcohol and industrial alcohol, and cogeneration facilities that generate power from bagasse, which is sold to state grids and used captively. It also produces agricultural fertilizers and operates in the polylactic acid (PLA) segment. Its reportable segments are Sugar, Distillery, Polylactic Acid and Others, with the Sugar segment contributing the majority of revenue through sugar sales, by-products, cogenerated power and power trading. Customers include institutional buyers, industrial users, government agencies and retail consumers, with the vast majority of revenue generated within India.
