Altius Minerals Corporation is a Canadian royalty and streaming company that holds diversified interests in mining and renewable energy projects. Its mineral royalty portfolio generates revenue from producing mines that extract copper, nickel, cobalt, lithium, potash, iron ore, and other commodities, with major exposures including the Voisey's Bay nickel-cobalt mine and potash operations in Saskatchewan. The company also holds pre-development and earlier-stage royalties, and operates a project generation business that identifies and vends early-stage mineral properties. Through its Altius Renewable Royalties subsidiary, it holds royalty interests in wind and solar energy projects. Altius is headquartered in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, and its royalty interests are geographically concentrated in Canada, with additional exposure in the United States and other jurisdictions. The majority of revenue comes from its mineral royalties segment, which requires no operating costs at the mine level.
