Credit Agricole S.A. is the listed entity at the center of Credit Agricole Group, a mutually owned French banking group whose regional banks own the majority of the company. It acts as the group's central body, providing liquidity, funding and oversight to the regional banks, and consolidates most of the group's non-core-retail businesses. These include corporate and investment banking, asset management through its majority stake in Amundi, insurance, consumer finance, leasing and factoring, private banking, and international retail operations, notably in Italy and through LCL, a separately branded French retail bank. Customers range from large corporates and institutions to small businesses and individuals. Revenue comes mainly from net interest income, fees and commissions on banking, insurance and asset management services, and trading and capital markets activity, with operations concentrated in France and Europe alongside selected international markets.
